INTEGRATED DISEASE SURVEILLANCE PROGRAME
Aims and objectives
• To strengthen the Surveillance Activities for 18 Nos. of Diseases of Public Health Importance.
• To detect Outbreak signals for communicable disease early so that timely remedial measures can be taken at the earliest to avert mortality and mobility.
Objectives of
RNTCP
• To achieve and maintain a cure rate of at least 85 % among newly detected infectious (new sputum smear positive ) cases.
• To achieve and maintain detection of at least 70 % of such cases in the population.
